Christ Pantocrator Icon:
This icon was written under the direction of T. Papadopoulos, June 2026. “Christ Pantocrator” (literally translated as “Christ the Almighty” from Ancient Greek) is the most prominent icon in the Eastern Christian world. The name of Christ is often written as a christogram on either side of his halo–IC XC. “IC” is composed of the first and last letters of “Jesus” in Greek and “XC” is composed of the first and last letters of “Christ” in Greek. Icons of Christ the Almighty emphasize the reality of Christ’s Divinity.
